The Butterfly

The butterfly has no parents
The caterpillar munches
Happily knowing

No maternal nurturance
No paternal care
It grows and grows

According to natures law
Until the time is right for
The cocoon

To reform it all
In a deep dark soup
And one day birth itself

In full spectrum colour
And fly free
Completely a butterfly
