The Bull

Tea-sets painted
With cottage garden flowers,
After horns and hooves
In pieces on the floor.

Every whisper of beauty,
Formed by tiny hands,
Smashed by The Bull
In its chaos.

The bull and beauty
Share the same house,
Until one day,
Wisdom comes,

To sweep up debris,
To tame the suffering bull,
And let the children play,
Painting tea-sets all day.
