Meditation Classes

I offer classes teaching mindfulness of breath, body and loving-kindness in a non-religious way, centred on the innate power we all have inside to become calm and heal.

This teaching aims to help you develop the strong and reliable resource of a daily spiritual practice.

Group classes and one-one sessions available.

I can travel to teach groups. If you organise a group of more than five people and find a venue then contact me and we can arrange a date for a morning or afternoon retreat.

Cost:
€5 - 1 hr group classes of five or more people
€15 - ½ hr one to one
€30 - per person morning or afternoon retreat
€50 - per person day retreat

(noone will be turned away for lack of funds)

Mindfulness Morning

Saturday Jan 21st & 28th / Feb 4 & 11th

10am - 12pm

Mindfulness mornings for beginners.

We will practice sitting and walking meditation and mindful movement. The focus of this morning will be on mindfulness in your everyday life and committing to a daily practice of meditation.

There will be plenty of time for questions and feedback.

My Daily Practice

I practice meditation for at least two hours every day and go on silent retreat a few times a year. Throughout every moment of the day I try to be mindful of what is going on within me, in a kind and gentle way. This leads to a wonderful sense of calm but does not mean that I am feeling only calm. This practice is about feeling everything and being present with it all in a peaceful and non judgemental way.The more I have practiced these techniques of meditation the less I have found I am at the mercy of feelings and thoughts that were once creating negative external situations. When they are observed and accepted in a compassionate way, negative mental habit patterns gradually dissolve to leave a sense of spaciousness. At the same time, as we cultivate new and existing positive thoughts and feelings this compliments the spaciousness and leads to a more compassionate and healthy life.
